8 tips to help you manage stress for Work Life Balance.
1. Eat Healthily.
Eating healthy can help you to avert stress-related health complications such as depression, anxiety, and heart-related ailments. In fact, a Mediterranean diet can boost your chances of tackling stress successfully. Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins, proteins, and minerals. Resultantly; they help in stabilizing your blood sugar level, boosting your metabolism, elevating energy levels and reducing stress. An added bonus is that creating healthy habit goals are good for your finances too.

3. Delegate tasks.
Are you feeling stressed by your numerous tasks? Well, you have the power to change your destiny. All you have to do is to delegate some of your workload and tasks to others. Remember; a piling workload can make your life miserable before affecting your health and productivity negatively. There will always be someone willing to do some things for you. Don’t overburden yourself, use delegation to manage stress hassle-free.
One way I delegate is to delegate the cooking of evening meals. Everyone in the family has a cooking night. This frees up my time for a workout, walk or another task I may need to complete that day.
4. Eliminate the unnecessary.
Wondering how to deal with Stress? It is simple. Consider identifying & eliminating stressors, avoid procrastination, eliminate superfluous commitments, and avoid multitasking. It’s a fact that you get more done when you stop multitasking. While eliminating stressors; things, people, challenges cannot be possible overnight, this goal can eventually prove to be worthwhile. Don’t try to control circumstances and other people as it will only increase your stress. Just eliminate all stressors and enjoy life.
5. Get plenty of rest.
Resting is a powerful tool for stress management. Rest allows your body to recover, replenishes your energy, relaxes the mind and enhances your sleep significantly. Everyone needs some quality time to rest after working tirelessly over a period of time. Having adequate sleep can generally boost your memory, concentration, minimize chronic health disorders risks and eradicate stress thus improving your overall health.
6. Create a routine.
Sticking to a routine can propel you to immense success as an individual. Most people become extremely stressed due to lack of proper routines. How can a routine be beneficial? Well, a routine provides a sense of familiarity and structure. Additionally, a routine provides direction, builds momentum, encourages good habits, increases efficiency, and builds motivation & willpower making your life stress-free.
One routine I have is a morning routine that includes mindful and exercises. I first learnt about setting the morning routine up via the book ‘The Miracle Morning‘ by Hal Elrod. I recommend this book to anyone who is trying to improve their life. It is amazing how the few routines can have such a big impact.
7. Belong to supportive networks.
Having a dependable social support network can be helpful when overwhelmed by stress. Asking for support from trustworthy friends, colleagues and family can help you to overcome tough times successfully. A reliable support network cultivates a sense of belonging and enhances the sense of self-worth making it easy to deal with stress.
