When autumn comes around many people believe it is good luck to catch a falling leave. There are many stories saying that it can wade off colds or bring a month of luck, but what do you think, is it good luck or is luck something you can manifest yourself?
I’m writing this post today on Friday 13th October 2017, is this lucky?
Here too, many people believe Friday 13th to be unlucky for a variety of reasons. There is also a term given to the fear of Friday the 13th which is, Friggatriskaidekaphobia. The number 13 being unlucky and Friday being the day of crucifixion.
Carsten currently believes 13 to be lucky as he sees the number everywhere and has a golf handicap of 13. I wonder if his lucky number will change when his handicap drops to 12.
Is a black cat crossing in front of you good or bad? This depends on how you look at it, it could be bad for the cat or bad for you depending on how you react. So is luck based on reactions?
There is a whole list of superstitions to be aware of or not.
As a child I was often told not to walk under ladders, surely this was not to have paint or something dropped on to my head. So if there is no-one on the ladder, surely it’s safe to walk under.
So is it good luck to catch leaves? I don’t know, I believe in creating your own luck and fortunes.
